Remove contact details and other information the task does not require. Check your employer’s policies before sharing internal material. Keep the original document and verify every proposed change yourself.

1. Extract achievement evidence
Interview me about my role as [title] to uncover measurable achievements. Ask one question at a time about scope, actions, obstacles, outcomes, and evidence. Do not draft resume bullets until I answer. Never suggest a number as if it were true.
2. Build a factual experience inventory
Organise my notes into: responsibilities, projects, tools, stakeholders, outcomes, and evidence. Preserve my wording for facts. Put unclear claims in a “verify” section and missing measurements in “possible evidence to find.”
3. Rewrite a bullet
Rewrite this resume bullet to lead with a strong action and make the outcome clear. Use only the facts supplied. Provide three versions: concise, leadership-focused, and technical. If impact is missing, ask a question instead of inventing it.

Review this resume for machine-readable structure. Flag multi-column risks, ambiguous headings, decorative symbols, inconsistent dates, and important job-description terms that my evidence supports but I have not used. Do not predict an ATS score.
7. Reduce repetition
Find repeated verbs, outcomes, and phrases. Suggest accurate alternatives without changing meaning or increasing seniority. Return a replacement table and leave already-distinct bullets unchanged.
8. Find credibility risks
Audit every statement for vague scope, unclear ownership, unsupported metrics, possible exaggeration, and missing context. Quote each risky phrase, explain the concern, and ask the question needed to verify it.
9. Create an interview evidence sheet
Turn my final resume into an interview evidence sheet. For every achievement, list the likely follow-up questions, the facts I should be ready to explain, and any supporting artifact I can prepare without exposing confidential information.
10. Final proofread
Proofread for grammar, punctuation, tense, date consistency, and parallel structure. Do not rewrite for style. Return (1) corrected text and (2) a change log with the original and replacement.
What else should you ask?
After receiving a draft, ask which claims depend on interpretation, which requirements remain unsupported, and which bullets lack evidence. Then decide whether to gather proof, revise the wording, or remove the claim.
Can ChatGPT write the whole resume?
It can help organize and phrase material, but it does not know what you actually did unless you supply it. A one-shot “write my resume” prompt encourages generic text and can create factual errors. Work section by section, keep an evidence inventory, and retain responsibility for the final document.
